Lego has been a part of our lives. Even if we haven't played with them in any case we've heard and watched videos about them. There are various Lego sets from ten pieces to eleven thousand pieces. However, have you ever wondered what are the biggest Lego sets?
Firstly at number 15 we have LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley. Lego is very interested in making collaborations with famous movies and series, and Harry Potter movies are one of these. Lego has made countless sets including this famous movie. This set includes: Ollivanders Wand Shop, Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes for all your silly supplies, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor, Scribbulus Writing Implements stationery shop, Flourish & Blotts book shop and Quality Quidditch Supplies where you can pick up a new broomstick. The set is over a meter long and includes 5544 pieces. However, unfortunately this set is no longer available.
At number 14 we have LEGO Ninjago City Gardens. As I said Lego really does love making collaborations as we saw and will see. This set is based on LEGO Ninjago TV series. The set includes an ice cream shop, noodle house, museum, zen garden, Ninja control tower and student apartment. This set has 5685 pieces and finally this set is available in stores and in the internet.
At number 13 we have LEGO Real Madrid – Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. In recent years, LEGO has started to release football stadiums as sets and this particular set is the biggest LEGO stadium of them all. This set has 5.876 pieces and fortunately this set is available.
At number 12 we have LEGO Creator Taj Mahal. This set has an impressive 5923 pieces. The set does an amazing job in recreating the white marble mausoleum. The set takes roughly 25 hours to build. The finished model is 50 cm wide and 40.6 cm tall.
At number 11 we have another Harry Potter set. This is the LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle. To me, the first thing that pops up in my mind when I hear Harry Potter is (obviously besides Harry Potter) the Hogwarts Castle. This magnificent castle measures over 58 cm high, 69 cm wide and 43 cm deep. The castle contains the Great Hall; moving staircases; classrooms for potions, Defence against the Dark Arts and other rooms from the series. When it was released back in 2018, it was the second largest set ever, but it has since fallen down the list, but it's still impressive. By the way, this is also the biggest Harry Potter set since it has a staggering 6020 pieces.
Now we enter the top 10. At number 10 we have another collaboration. This is with the infamous Lord of the Ring movie series. The stunning depiction of the elven settlement is the ultimate LEGO display for The Lord of the Rings enthusiasts. The set includes all the iconic moments that happened in the movies. The set has 6167 pieces.
At number 9 we have LEGO Star Wars The Razor Crest. Starting now, we will see more Star Wars sets in the top 10. This Ultimate Collector Series recreation of The Mandalorian ship has a complete interior accurate to the series. I think there isn't much to say because how can a Star Wars set be bad? This set has 6187 pieces without the minifigures.
At number 8 we have another Star Wars collab. This set is the third largest Star Wars build. This is the infamous AT-AT. At 6785 pieces, it comes in just short of the newest addition, but that doesn’t change the fact that this model is as big as a small dog.
At number 7 we have a different collab with Pokémon. This is the LEGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. The debut of LEGO Pokémon this month will also come with the seventh-largest LEGO set of all time. Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise represent the three Kanto partner Pokémon’s final evolutions using 6838 pieces. The preorder of this set have ended in some regions but 26 days later it will be available.
At number 6 we have the famous Millennium Falcon. Most of us may have heard this set in the social media. This is the second largest Star Wars set that has been made. It no longer sits next to AT-AT on the list, staying ahead of the huge Pokémon set with 7541 elements. The legendary LEGO Star Wars set’s time on shelves may be coming to an end this year, but its legacy will live on.
The largest Star Wars build we have is the LEGO Star Wars Death Star which is in the 5th place. This offers enthusiasts a slice of the space station for a major LEGO Star Wars display piece. This model uses 9023 pieces with numerous minifigures, a shuttle, an informative plaque and more than enough rooms to faithfully pay tribute to the science fiction icon.
At number 4, we have a mighty build which locates in Rome, Italy. This is the LEGO Icons Colosseum. There isn't much to say about this giant set. It has an incredible 9.036 pieces.
At number 3 we have another famous set. This is the LEGO Icons Titanic. We've all heard about Titanic. Either we watched the movie or heard about the movie. This would've been the biggest Lego set of all time when it sailed onto shelves in 2021, had it not been for the set in first place on this list. Despite that, it is still one of the biggest in terms of overall volume, using 9090 pieces to recreate the iconic ship from the movie and the history.
At number 2 we have an icon which is one of the famous structures that was ever made. It locates in France and is one of the largest structures. As you could guess it is the Eiffel Tower. Lego created this awesome structure with a staggering 10001 pieces. The 149 cm build is the largest Lego in terms of volume. But it’s piece count is overtaken by one other. Finally here we are, the one that you've all been waiting for. The largest Lego set in terms of pieces. This is the LEGO Art World Map thanks to the 11695 elements, including thousands of smaller tiles used to make up the map of the world. But some people say that it will finally be dethroned this year, but for now the LEGO World Map is still technically the biggest LEGO model ever released.
All in all Lego still manages to impress the world by making enormous sets. I hope Lego's this hobby never ends. Although we may never see one of these in person, hearing and seeing these in social media is still enough for me.
