The Worldwide Inequality In Access To Technology

First of all, what is the meaning of inequality? Well, inequality refers to the unequal distribution of resources, opportunities, and privileges among individuals or groups within a society. When the topic is access to technology, inequality seems to be a great problem. For example, reading this might be a 5-click easy thing for you; meanwhile, there is someone out there who doesn't even have a phone, computer, or any other device to do the same "easy" 5 clicks.

• We have come to a point where technology plays a big part in our daily lives. Try giving yourself a challenge: stay away from the technology that you normally use in your daily life for about one week. I bet most of us, even me, could not do it. I personally use technology a lot in my life. I love watching TikTok, chilling on my bed whilst watching reels, or watching random videos on YouTube while eating my food. I am sure most of you guys do these too. I want you all to realise that these routine things that we do and do not think are a big deal are some people's dreams. Do a little empathy; is it really fair that we do these things for fun with ease while they can only dream about it?

You may not realize it, but technology is extremely important for our education too. Every day, while doing assignments, studying, or during lessons, we use technology, which makes things a lot easier for us.

Out there, there are people who can not even watch some educational videos before an important exam as we do. A lot of children do not have the opportunity to do remote learning in situations that do need remote learning, like during viruses.

What I want you all to realise is that being able to use technology is a priority. Not everyone can use technology as we do, and it is not as simple and easy as it seems because the world has come to a state where you need to have access to technology to even know what is going on with our world. While I am here writing about those who live hard days because of the inequality, they will not even know that I am writing about them because of the exact reason that I am writing about, and that is what makes me write this blog because I believe if we have come to the state where everything is ruled by technology, everyone should be able to have access to technology.
