CARS 2

Cars 2 is a cinematic masterpiece made by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by John Lasseter in 2011. It’s a work of art that everyone who is interested in the cinema industry should watch. The number of details considered in the filmmaking process is flabbergasting. It tells the story of what happens to Lightning McQueen and his best friend Mater while they are traveling the world for the first world racing championship.

The animation style of Cars 2 is really intriguing. The amount of details in the filmmaking process is tremendous. Pixar's assiduity to details in every single frame is exceptional. It leaves the audience satisfied.

Furthermore, the voice actors did quite a good job bringing the characters to life. Owen Wilson's dubbing of Lightning McQueen is an excellent personification of the character's stubbornness and charm, while Larry the Cable Guy's Mater is really good at making his character look like a fool but still lovable at the same time. Michael Caine's performance as the suave spy car Finn McMissile is a definite highlight of the movie, adding a layer of sophistication to the story.

The world-building in Cars 2 is also remarkable, with the movie exploring diverse cultures and locations worldwide. The World Grand Prix takes the characters on a journey to Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London, each with its unique ambiance and aesthetics. The meticulous attention to detail in each location makes them feel like authentic places, contributing to the film's immersive experience.

Moreover, Cars 2 takes a daring approach to its storytelling, introducing new themes and genres distinct from the original movie. The spy genre adds a sense of intrigue and thrill to the racing sequences, while the movie's themes of international politics and oil dependency present a thought-provoking commentary on real-world problems. The inclusion of these events in the plot layer by layer is amazing.

While Cars 2 may not give you the same feeling as its previous movie, it has its own special charm and is still an invaluable addition to the Pixar Animation legacy. The film's captivating storyline, magnificent animation, and unforgettable characters that to this day people speak of make it a must-watch for fans of the first movie and animation aficionados.
