The Influence of Movies on Our Behavior

Movies are a big part of our daily lives. Sometimes we watch movies with friends or family, and sometimes alone, which changes how we experience them. We watch them when we are happy, sad, or just bored. Sometimes they even become a way to escape from reality and experience different worlds for a while. But they are not only a source of entertainment or an escape from real life, they also affect the way people think and behave. Sometimes a movie we watch may stay in our minds for days because of how deep it was. Also, different types of movies, like comedies, dramas, or documentaries, affect us in different ways too. They are so impactful because they combine music, visuals, and emotions. Although the magnitude of the effect of a specific movie may differ from person to person, every movie we see leaves a mark on us.

Movies often inspire us. They can teach us topics like bravery, empathy, and helpfulness. Especially movies based on true stories make people take action. For example, a person might become less prejudiced after seeing a girl who suffers a lot in her social life because of her appearance in a movie. Some movies, such as Forest Gump or The Lion King, motivate people to follow their dreams and never give up. Movies can also raise awareness about serious issues like poverty, discrimination, or the environment, and make people think about what they can do to make a change. There are even extreme examples of people who change their career choice after seeing just a single movie. Through emotions, music, and visuals, movies deliver powerful messages that stay with us for a long time.

Although movies have positive effects on people, it’s not always the same. Especially watching violent scenes or movies at a young age can make viewers feel uncomfortable. Those scenes can stay in their minds for days, as I mentioned before, and sometimes they may even cause fear or anxiety. Another thing is that mostly teenagers, may try to imitate bad, violent, or excessively dominant characters because of their search for identity. They often admire movie heroes and want to act like them, even when the behavior shown is harmful. And lastly, some movies that reflect “perfect” lives constant happiness and infinite wealth make people dissatisfied of their own lives and constantly make them feel bad and not enjoy the moment which is just like the “Social Media Issue” today.

In conclusion, movies have a powerful impact on how we think, feel, and act. They are not just a passive activity, they change us literally. They can motivate us. Sometimes, they even make us think different about life. However they can also make us feel worse too. So that’s why it is important to focus on the positive messages rather than the negative ones an also maybe choose which movie to watch.  To sum up everything in a sentence, movies are not just for entertainment, they help shape ourselves maybe in a positive way or a negative.
